Chakra Shirts - Easy Energy Therapy

As an empath and studier of Chakras, I find that one of the easiest ways to keep a strong energy balance in your life, is color therapy. Each chakra in the body connects to certain color frequencies, that we can add or subtract from our lives to bring more balance and harmony.

I was thinking about the process one day, and it dawned on me that my Sorbile shop would be the perfect way to help others start bringing more balance in their lives through energy therapy. Or to be more specific, through wearing shirts with Chakra's and their mantras on them.

My aim was to create shirts that could do more than just be fashionable or "cool", and with chakra shirts, I think I found a happy medium. They aren't fancy, nor are they endowed with super powers. Though they are effective, and through wearing them, any person any where can gain more balance from the chakra they sense they need that day.

To leave a slight bit of instructions, for those that aren't really sure how it would work. You could take several routes to can the benefits of chakra shirts. You could take all 8 chakra shirts and throw them in a pile, mix them up, close your eyes and let your intuition help you decide what charka guidance you need for the day. Another method you could try, is to simply place all your chakra shirts in your closet. Go to them when you feel the need for extra balance and choose the one that calls to you the most. You might also try simply closing your eyes when you go to pick your shirt for the day, and when you close your eyes you'll see a color. That color is the frequency of chakra that you need for that day.

I'm still thinking of other ways that you could have fun in picking out your chakra shirt for the day, though for now, I think these should be beneficial and fun enough. I am curious to know what you would do though, so please leave some comments on ideas that you have. =)

Something Old and Something New

In the midst of enjoying my adventures in blogging, I thought it would be fun to go over some of my favorite designs. For now, we'll stick with just two. The first is my newest design and the second is an older one that I used to start out with on Sorbile.

The first design I want to showcase, is my newest design. It's going in the Ron Paul section of sorbile and is my way of showing support for what Ron Paul had to say at the recent republican debate in New Hampshire.

Though the media and beaurocrats are determined to downplay his popularity and wisdom, there are many out there who are already up-playing his most memorable statement during the debate:

"I am the Commander and Chief, I'll tell the Generals what to do, not the other way around." (paraphrased a bit)

If you were watching the live debate as I was, you'll notice that RP's commander and chief statement really got the audience going, and until someone corrects me, I feel he got the loudest of all his 11 rounds of applause during that moment. It was definitely a moment when his campaign shinned. So I created this design for those that agree - while it's all well and good to consider what our war generals have to say about pulling out of eastern battles, it is up to the commander and chief to make the final decision. Ron Paul is the only candidate that wants what American voters want - No More War!

You can get this RP design (and others) on any tee shirt at http://www.cafepress.com/Sorbile/7821230

The next design is one that found itself among the very first designs that I ever posting on Sorbile.

It's called "Conserve Energy" and features a light bulb with a hemp leaf as the filament.

I really like this design because it fills a practical statement, but also includes plenty of humor. You could wear this design to show your support for legalizing industrial hemp, which can help our energy and commerce sectors immensely, as well as helping to save our great mother earth.

Another focus on this interesting yet simple design is that we all know that particular strains of cannabis can definitely leave you in "conservative" mode when it comes to your energy level. So why not chillax and show the world you know how to "conserve energy" like the pro's. =)

Whats Hot at Sorbile - June 2011

As a part of coming up with blogging ideas, and keeping track of my sales, I thought it might be fun to do a bit of blogging about what's going up in popularity at Sorbile.com. Down the road, I also hope to highlight designs that aren't doing well. That way we can learn together about what sells and what doesn't.

Though until Sorbile becomes as popular as I know it will, we'll just stick with what's popular for right now.

So what's hot this June?

You might not believe it with all the designs available, but the most popular section in Sorbile is the line of Stubborn Husband designs. Most of which are jokes and silly drawings that cover men's t-shirts, women's clothing and various little nick knacks.

I actually started Stubborn husband as an idea for a domain name (www.stubbornhusband.com), as I really love getting into the domain name game. And in order to showcase the usefulness of this domain name, I wrote a hub about it at http://hubpages.com/hub/Business-Idea-6-Stubborn-Husband

One of my ideas for how to use this domain name, would be to come up with simple t-shirt designs that could give every man and woman a good life when it comes to some of the intricacies of marriage. Particularly when it comes to having a stubborn male counterpart, or being that stubborn husband yourself!

Amazingly, this simple idea has blossomed into quite a successful Sorbile, and I'm pretty proud of it so far. Recently, there has been an upswing in one particular Stubborn Husband design that simply says:

       "You may be smart, beautiful
             and able to give birth..
But I can open all my own jars!"

So I'm officially making this June 2011's Hot Design for Sorbile!

Why create a blogger blog for Sorbile?

I haven't yet been asked, but hey, I like to consider myself a "proactivist". So let's talk about why someone would choose to start a blogger blog to promote their business. Hopefully, by getting all this information out my head, you'll understand just what the goal is from here. Then you can follow along, or join in with your own blog, to see how much I can accomplish.

So why start up a blog on blogger?

There are tons of other blogging sites available that I could have chosen to go through. Many of them are easier to navigate and blog with, as well as being more social media friendly. There are also other blogging sites with bigger communities built up. Though there is one thing that blogger has, that almost no other blogging site has - Google.

That's right my friends, Blogger.com is in sync with the Big Goog - which means that they get first pick when it comes to blog crawlers looking for more search engine content. So while I would probably choose another blogging site for something purely personal or hobby related, Blogger is just the tool I need to help my business build it's web presence.

Not only have I experienced this with a few former blogs (in small amounts), but it's also come highly suggested for business (especially cafepress shops) to promote themselves using Blogger above any other blog site. Sure you can use any other site to blog and then slowly build your presence on google, but why fight the tide? Blogging is hard enough for a busy business owner anyways!

So with this recent entrepreneurial endeavor, I'm really going to put Blogger, Google, Sorbile and myself to the test. It certainly won't be too easy at first, and I'm hoping the skills with sashay into place quickly, but we'll see.

If you're brave - follow me =)

Ron Paul & My first Sorbile Blog

I am proud to announce, that not only have I opened an awesome CafePress shop and filled it with sweet designs, but I have also figured out how to add pictures to blogger! Who says you can't learn something new everyday?

Now that I've gotten those two hurdles out of the way, it's high time on got on the wagon and started to work on my blogging skills. So what better way to start, then to get hip deep into blogger.com and start marketing Sorbile.

To start us out right, I'm going to open with one of my favorite (and newest) designs and topics - Ron Paul.

In my recent past, I have found myself with a growing interest in American politics. How it works, how it was designed, who's involved, what truths are hiding behind the curtains.... Pretty much anything and everything involving government and politics, I want to know about it. Otherwise, how can I form my own extravagant opinion about the going on's of our country? =)

One of my more recent obsessions has become Ron Paul. I've kept him on the back burner for a while, but in like of the upcoming election in 2012, I've decided it's high time to start getting to Ron Paul as intimately as one can through the internet. And because the internet is really my only source of information about him, I really didn't expect much. For the most part, politicians try to avoid becoming to transparent with the internet, which is what really surprised me about Ron Paul when I started getting into the dirty details - Ron Paul is one of the few open politicians on the internet. No other mugwump (favorite word), has as many wikipedia pages, articles, hubs and blogs dedicated to his work. For that matter, no other politician can say that they've been consistent about their beliefs and policy for 30+ years.

Because of his honesty, integrity and consistency - Ron Paul has earned himself a rather endearing nickname: The Godfather.

Some call him the Godfather of the Tea Party, others the Godfather of Liberty, and still more consider him the Godfather of the Revolution (the most recent one happening anyways). It was after spending lots of intimate time getting to know RP, that I took the time to carve out the above design. My idea was to give Ron Paul as physical a connection to his voting demographic, as he has in ideology. If you have done any research on generations, you'll notice that Ron Paul actually identifies with the youngest members of the voting population, which seems rather backwards when you consider his values, demeanor and appearance.

The task wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. At first I tried to make his image really flashy and bold. Then I try to make it kind of silly, cause everyone likes to laugh. But then I realized what I was doing wrong.. I was ignoring the "kiss method" (keep it simple stupid). So instead of being so unique you can't stand it, I took from one of his more prominent designs and made it my own. With the flip of a hat, Ron Paul now has some style - without losing that simple quality that does so well for him.

Now my only hope is that someone will want to have this design out front where it can shine on an XXXX T-shirt, bumper sticker, hoodie, hat or doggie tee. Or hey, who knows, I'm waiting for the foxy lady who buys a pair of sleek undies with "the godfather" printed on the front. Talk about a bold statement!
